Stephenson, James W. Passed away peacefully on Sunday April 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Terry, his twin brother Jack, brother Art and sister Jean. Survived by his children Charles (Cherie), Linda (Tom ) Dorn and Jeff Stepheson. Grandpa to Dave (Lori) Evert, Liane (Kevin) Marshman, Carrie (Dean) Lillge, Tasha and Jimmy Stephenson. Great grandpa to Kyle and Kevin Maun, Mitchell and Owen Marshman, Dean and Carter Lillge, Lexi, Jacob and Layla Stephenson and Amy and Emma Evert. Further survived by his sisters Gen and Mildred and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in WWII from 1943-45 as a combat infantryman in the Normandy Beach, Northern France and Rhineland Campaigns. After working in construction, Jim went to work for General Motors where he retired after 34 years. As a lifetime member of the VFW Post 10519 and Greendale American Legion Post 416, Jim was involved with many fundraisers and projects to assist other veterans in need. He especially enjoyed visiting schools and explaining to children the importance of flying our nations flag. Visitation will be at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel, Greenfield, WI on Thursday April 11 from 4PM until time of Services and Military Honors at 7 PM. Private Interment will be at a later date. Our father will forever be remembered as the kind, nonjudgmental man with the humor to brighten anyone's day and a smile to steal anyone's heart. "Americans Greatest Generation" has lost another of our heroes. Memorials to the Zablocki VA Medical Center 9th Floor Community Living Center appreciated. Max A.
