James E. Morisse
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 2, 2025 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Rosemary Morisse for 67 years. Loving father of Timothy Morisse and Jeff Morisse. Proud grandpa of Summer. Dear uncle of Susan Gresser, Peggy Maciejewski, Linda Maulding, Mike Chodkowski, and Jonathan Budish. Great-uncle of Becky Gresser and Kurt Stickler. Further survived by his sister-in-law Susan Budish, other loved relatives, and friends.
Jim was the owner of Morisse Home Center in South Milwaukee from 1978-1992. Following retirement, he became everyone’s Handyman, a job he loved.
Jim was a charter member of South Milwaukee Lions Noon Club. He was also a proud U.S. Army veteran who served with the 61st Artillery Battalion Air Defense stationed in Thule, Greenland.
A memorial gathering will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee) on Friday, February 21st from 9:30-10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
