James F. “Jim” Bartnicki
Passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Mary Bartnicki for 36 years. Loving father of Joanne (Andy) Wirth, Tami (Steve) Onsager, and Tiffany (Josh) Kolbe. Proud grandpa of Benjamin and Zachary Wirth, Ethan Onsager, and Will Kolbe. Brother of Christine (Larry) Kwiecinski. Further survived by family friend Terrie Kintop, other loved relatives and friends.
Jim started his career in the City of Franklin’s Engineering Department and retired as the Director of Public Works for the Village of Shorewood. After retirement he continued to serve as a member on the Board of Publics Works for the City of Franklin. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Jim was known as a master storyteller and jokester. He will be dearly missed, always loved, and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Tuesday October 4 starting at 10:30 AM until time of service at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
