James E. Schoenborn

Schoenborn, James E. "Jim" Found peace on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the age of 89. Loving husband of Florence Radtke for 17 years. Preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Schoenborn. Step-father of Jeffrey (Dianne Meyer) Radtke and the late Janel Radtke. Brother of Severne (Angie) Schoenborn and Eileen Keup. Long time friend of Gerald Becker. Further survived by devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was a member of the 101st Airborne Division in World War II and was awarded the European, African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Battle Stars and a Bronze Service Arrowhead. He also was a Lifetime Member of VFW Post #6498 and a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Seniors Club. Visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 3100 W. Parnell St., on Thursday, March 10 from 4-5pm. Memorial Mass at 5pm. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Catholic Charities, appreciated.
