James D. Wilson Passed away peacefully on August 5, 2019 at the age of 75. Loving husband of Gerri (Nee Ramler) Wilson. Cherished father of Jennifer Wilson and Tricia (Mark) Rufi. Proud grandpa of Hudson and Eloise Rufi. Dear brother of Wayne (Pat) Wilson and the late Muriel Dan. Brother-in-Law of Marv (Sandi) Ramler and Karen (Bob) Frank. Uncle of Christy Dan, Michelle Wilson (Eric Gaddis), Mike (Grisel) Wilson, and Jim (Mariah) Wilson, Bill and Brian (Solli) Frank, Brenda (Paul) Wraalstad, and Jason (Charlene) Ramler. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Fannie Wilson. Beloved member of the Bass Lake Brothers: George, Jim, Dick, G Mac, Terry, and Mike. Jim was born in Hammond, IN on September 24, 1943. The family later moved to beautiful Bass Lake. His summers were filled with lake activities and comparing cars on the back roads with his friends. After attending Milligan College and then graduating from Ball State University, he joined the USAF and moved to Montana. There he swept a young teacher off of her feet on the dance floor and convinced her to marry him and move to Germany. Being stationed in Germany provided many travel opportunities for the young couple throughout Europe and there they later started their adventure into parenthood. Jim also served in Duluth, MN and Sacramento, CA as an Officer in the Air Force Audit Agency. After leaving the Air Force he continued his career as Head of Internal Audit at WI Gas. It is no wonder that Jim made a great auditor, as his integrity was unparalleled. He had a very calm demeanor and was an extremely selfless and generous spirit. Jim loved listening to live music, especially jazz. He enjoyed many adventures with his wife and family including hiking, biking, and traveling. For Jim and Gerri's 50th anniversary this past November, Jim completed his travel to all 50 States. He also enjoyed classic cars and taking good care of his cars, watching movies, watching sports including the Packers, college basketball, and the NBA, playing Euchre and Hearts, and playing and reading books to his grand babies.
