James Anthony Blaize, a beloved figure who exemplified dedication and service, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the age of 73. Born on July 19, 1951, in Milwaukee, he spent a lifetime enriching the lives of those around him.
James proudly served in the United States Air Force from May 1971 to May 1975, exemplifying his commitment to our nation. Following his military career, he worked for the United States Post Office for an impressive 53 years.
James was known for his unique sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter to the hearts of his friends and family. He cherished his time engaging in bible study and delighted in the companionship of his friends at Harbour Village. Before moving into Harbour Village he was a long time resident of Oak Creek, WI. An avid collector, he found joy in gathering toy airplanes and shared his home with his beloved cats, which were an integral part of his life.
He is survived by his siblings Harold (Leslie), Roberta (the late Frank) Mashlan, Anthony (Frances) Blaize, and the late Pete (Ruriko) Faytus. James was a proud uncle to Scott (Jayme), Yvonne, Jason (Devon), and Lenert (Stacey), and took great joy in being a great uncle to Hazel.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Viola Blaize. He leaves behind a legacy of service, humor, and generosity that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A burial service for James will be held on April 17, 2025, at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin, beginning at 11:00 AM.
