James A. Friedel

Friedel, James A. Passed away peacefully on April 10, 2012 at age 79 years. Loving husband of Marion Naus Friedel. Dear dad of Laurie (Curt) Chocholaus, Michael (Nancy), Kevin and John Friedel. Step dad of Jeff (Delta) Naus, Patricia Nelson and Laura (Michael) Whipple. Proud grandpa of Alisha, Jacob and Nathaniel (Rachel) Chocholous, Becca (Yousef) Maree, Ben, Jessica, Bethany, Thomas and Brandon Friedel. Step grandpa of Ben (Ashley), Daniel and Steve Naus, Tyler Nelson and Nina and Jake Whipple. Step great-grandpa of Alane Naus. Further survived by many relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife Donna and his brother Tom Friedel. After retiring as Principal at Hawley School, Jim served as a naturalist at the Wehr Nature Center where he enjoyed taking schoolchildren on walks and teaching them about the beauty of nature. He was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family, camping, traveling, golf, and painting landscapes and wildlife with watercolor. The family wishes to thank Tudor Oaks, VITAS Hospice, and Right at Home Staff for the loving and compassionate care provided for Jim. Visitation will be on Monday April 16, 2012 at St.Leonard Church (W173 S7743 Westwood Drive) Muskego, WI. From 9AM 10:45 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 AM.
