Shriver, Jack W Passed away peacefully Saturday, August 2, 2014. Age 83. Beloved husband of Lorna (nee Martin) for 63year. Father of Vickie (Don) Fahrenkrug, Cinda (Garrick) Zielinski, and the late Susan Erickson. Grandfather of Terra (Eric) Westhaus, Gerard (Melissa) Zielinski, Gene Krejcarek, Grant (Stephanie) Zielinski, Janelle Zielinski, Brittany Dick, Travis Dick, Emily Erickson and the late Gavin Zielinski. Great grandfather of Ardian, Harper, Logan, Owen and Grady. Dear brother of Richard (Raianna) Shriver, fond brother-in-law of Charlotte Petersen. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Memorial gathering at Ebenezer Ev. Free Church, 3102 S 43rd St, on Saturday, August 23, 9am-10: 45am. Memorial service at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Fisher House WI. (for families of VA patients) or to the church. Graveside service on Saturday August 30th, 11am at Waterman Cemetery, Sutherland, Iowa. Memorial gathering from noon to 2pm at Sutherland Fire Station, 509 S Beech St. Jack was born April 29th, 1931 in Fremont Nebraska, son of Milo and Naomi Shriver. The family moved to Sutherland Iowa where Jack completed his high school education. Following high school and his marriage to Lorna (Martin), Jack served in the US Marine Corp. Jack moved his young family to Milwaukee Wisc. where he earned his engineering degree at MSOE. He worked at General Motors and retired after 22 years.
