Irene M. Krueger, passed away peacefully at the age of 104 on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in Milwaukee, WI. Born on October 16, 1919, in Phillips, WI, to the late Frank and Mary (Drimoski) Klamra. Irene's life was a living example of generosity and love. Her hands were rarely still, as she expressed her affection through cooking and baking, sharing countless meals that warmed the hearts and bellies of those she loved. Her sewing talents were evident in every stitch of the Raggedy Ann dolls she crafted one Christmas, leaving a tangible piece of her spirit with her family.
Retirement brought Irene and her husband to Adams, WI, where they enjoyed the quietness, bringing to life an acre of land where they tended a garden with care, preserving its bounty through canning. Irene's warmth and hospitality were on full display as she and Arthur attended church dinners across southern Wisconsin, sharing fellowship and creating memories. Volunteering at the senior center, Irene continued to give back, touching the lives of many with her wise counsel and ever-present smile.
Irene was a cherished mother to her daughters, Sharon Wilding and Deborah Grochowski (Arthur Dobson), adored grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew (Nicole), and John Michael (Courtney). She was blessed to see the growth of her family tree with her great-grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, David, Jacob, and Ileana, and her great-great-grandchildren, Clarabelle, Lizzy, and Jamie. The special bond she shared with her godchild, Wayne (Cathy), and her dear friend, Terri Nowak, added to the richness of her life. Irene was predeceased by her devoted husband, Arthur, her son-in-law Donald Wilding, her grandson Jacob, and her seven siblings.
