Berndsen, Howard A. Found peace on December 15, 2011 at the age of 88. Devoted husband of the late Jean (nee Collins). Loving father of Barry (Carol) and Lon (the late Carlyn) Berndsen. Beloved Grandpa of Curtis, Erica (Kevin) Kegarise, Jeff (Betsy) and Tracy. Adoring Papa Howie of Julius and Lucas. Also survived by brothers, other family and friends. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm with a service at 7 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel. Private interment Holy Trinity Cemetery. Howard proudly served his country in the Marines during WW II and was a longtime employee of the city of Milwaukee. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Odyssey Hospice for all the compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center appreciated.
