Howard Alvin Zaffke
January 2, 1932 — January 11, 2011
Zaffke, Howard Alvin Born January 2, 1932 to Herman Sr. and Lena (Nee Holtz) Zaffke in Milwaukee and passed away peacefully on January 11, 2011 at the age of 79. Survived by his wife of 41 years Louise (nee Bruzan). Further survived by his children Brian (Kathy), Mark, Lynn, Jean (Ed) Tomey, Mary (Ross) Hartung, Kathy (Bob) Meyer, his sisters Alice (Robert) Bialk and Lorraine (William) Berndt, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law James Bruzan and Clement (Verna) Bruzan, his sister-in-law Mary Ann Flores, other relatives and many friends. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael, a great-grandson, brothers Edward (Josephine), Harold (Judy), Ralph (Elaine), Herman Jr. (Lorraine) and Elmer (Viola) Holtz and brother-in-law Gerald (Sophie) Bruzan. Special thank you to Sunrise Health Care for taking such wonderful care of Howard and to Jan Grede-Hammer from the Kidney Institute. Visitation on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL from 4 PM to 8 PM with a 7 PM Funeral Service. Interment with full military honors on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11 AM, meeting at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
