WEST ALLIS – Hortencia Herrera, age 95 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022. She was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Corpus Christi, TX., the daughter of Antonio and Maria Morales. Loving wife of Gilberto Herrera for 73 years. Mother of Gilbert (Mimi) Herrera, Esmey (Warren) Kosier, Isabel (Tom) Jones, Henry (Richard) Herrera-Stokes, Michael (Christine) Herrera, Robert Herrera, Patti (David) Race, and Christina (John Hagemann) Herrera. Adored grandmother of Jason Herrera, Michael (Jamie) Haase, Nichole (James) Smargiassi, Melissa Rodriguez, Robert Herrera Jr., Jessica (Troy) Krzyston, Tony Rodriguez, Gabrielle (William) Mauch, Valeria Herrera, Amber (Ricky) Hock, Olivia (Ethan Hooker) Herrera, Ashley Amaro, Alessandra and Daniela Herrera, Nick (Emilee Fondaw) Wolf, Antonio and Julianna Herrera, Emma and George Wolf, and Diamond Herrera. Cherished great grandmother of 21 great grandchildren. Beloved sister of Robert Morales and sister-in-law Carmen Morales. Hortencia is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Maria Morales; siblings, Monico, Antonio (Lucy), Ricardo (Ramona) Morales, and Beatrice (Ismael) Garcia; sister-in-law, Belen Morales; and nephew, Rolando Garcia.
Visitation to be held at ST ANTHONY ON THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH (W280 N2101 Prospect Ave. Pewaukee, WI) on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 9AM to 10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. A private family interment to be held at a later date at St Adalbert Cemetery.
