Miech, Hon. Robert J. Born to Eternal Life surrounded by his family Sunday, November 9, 2008, age 83 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Tutaj) Loving father of Kathleen (David) Gregory. Loving "Papa" of Robert Joseph Gregory. Dear brother of Dr. Ralph (Elizabeth "Liz"). Brother-in-law of Dan (Shirley) Tutaj and Gerald (the late JoAnn) Justin. Cousin of Ronald (Patricia) Witkowiak, Richard (the late Trudy)Miech, Donald (Sue) Miech and Ken (Peggy) Witkowiak. Best friend of Raymond (Dorothy) Trzesniewski. Godfather of Joseph R. Miech. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Judge Miech was a graduate of Marquette University and Marquette University Law School. He devoted his legal career to public service. Beginning as a Milwaukee County Ass't District Attorney for 5 years, he was appointed as a judge to the Milwaukee County Court and was elected to 6 additional terms. After retirement, he served as a reserve judge for 4 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, November 13, at DIVINE MERCY CATHOLIC CHURCH, ST. ADALBERT SITE, 1800 16th Ave., South Milwaukee. Visitation, Wednesday November 12 for 4-8 PM with a Vigil service 6 PM at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave. Visitation also at the church before Mass from 10:30-11AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Marquette University High School would be appreciated.
