Herrick "Rick" M. Parker

May 25, 1987 — September 22, 2018

Parker, Herrick M. "Rick" September 22, 2018. Age 31. No formal services. If desired, memorials in Rick's name to Second Hand Purrs Cat Shelter, 4300 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207, appreciated. My Rick found his peace and went to his Warm Place, beside his beloved Nana Lorraine, his guardian cat and his boy Trent, his bro Ben-12, and so many other family members and friends welcoming him in his crossing over. He is deeply missed and forever loved by his "Lil Sis" Rebekkah, his sister "twin-by-a-year-apart" Renee, the Love of his Life, his heart and soul, Samantha and their three fur-babies, Maynard, Ash and Mia. He is cherished and remembered for the compassionate, sensitive, yet the fearless and goofy soul he was by all the Grabers and the Parker/Beenes. He is celebrated and forever kept alive in spirit by so many devoted friends, his "FAM" from all over--Hartford, South Milwaukee and extended across the miles. His best bros, Kenny, Josh-D, Bob and Bill, Brad, Rico, Dobez and B, --all the many special homies, sweet Paige and all his sister-women, he leaned on and was uplifted by in his darkest days. Thank you for always being there for him through thick and thin. Rick fought so hard and became so exhausted in body and mind, from battling his bipolar disorder and chronic pain. He only desired to be loved unconditionally and accepted with open arms for who he was in this life, He kept it so real, and taught me what it means to love fiercely and be brave despite all our "demons" and our lows. And in his departing, his fervent wish was to be quietly and gently laid to rest, his cremated remains, beside his esteemed great-aunt, Mary, and our frisky felines who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was dedicated to having his favorite no-kill local cat shelter in Milwaukee to be supported by his memory, in lieu of flowers. In his last days, Rick's thoughts were continually and fondly of his families and his friends--in that he would want you all to be there for one another. To always be kind and understanding by providing unconditional love and unwavering support. To not hesitate to be a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on and open arms to hug and comfort. And above all to never give up on you those you love especially when they need you the most. Oh, for the gift of just one more day with you Pickle, I love you son.
