Henry Peter Wojciechowski passed into eternal life on November 7, 2024. Hank was born in Milwaukee on Christmas Day, 1949. According to a newspaper article, he was the first Christmas baby born in Milwaukee that year. People would always say, “Oh, you're a Christmas baby!”, like they were the first to tell him that news. To that he would reply, “I was never gypped.”
He proudly served in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division Delta Raiders in Vietnam, 1969 -1971. He loved his country, including our Flag, statues and symbols. He truly enjoyed the camaraderie of the DROVA reunions he was able to attend for several years with his Army buddies and made friends with others that served at different times or different places.
Upon completion of his service, he came back to Milwaukee and met Bev, his wife, after he returned to Allen-Bradley, working third shift. They were married for 51 and ½ years. Hank and Bev raised three children, Joe, Jeff and Sara. He retired in 2007. They loved to camp and travel and longed to travel more, but that became impossible. They were able to enjoy several cruises. They cruised in Hawaii, twice to Alaska, a European River Cruise, Panama Canal and Caribbean, but their favorite cruise was to Norway and they always had hoped to return. He loved teasing his granddaughters and spending time with family and friends, and was always ready to play games like dominoes, rummikub, or cribbage.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Henry John Wojciechowski and sister Mary Patricia Wojciechowski. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children Joseph (Evangeline) Wojciechowski, Jeffrey Wojciechowski and Sara (Raymond) Taylor; granddaughters Courtney Wojciechowski and Skyler Wojciechowski; and sister Teresa (Richard) Roslawski.
