Helga M. Nohavica

Helga Maria Nohavica (Nee Goertz) of Greenfield, WI. Born in Danzig-Langfuhr Germany. Died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on December 8th, 2018 at age 75. Preceded in death by her mother Ruth M Carlson, (Nee Reschke), father Heinz Helmut Goertz, husband Ivan F. Nohavica, Ivan’s parents Frank and Francis Nohavica and adopted son Jan P Nohavica. In addition preceded by uncle and aunt Albert and Ruth LaMoore and uncle Gilbert Reschke. Survived by brother Dean M Carlson his wife Esperanza (Hope) Carlson, brother and sister-in-law Rodney A Carlson and Patty Carlson, niece Stefanie Harman Derosier her husband Michael Harman Derosier, nephew Robert D Carlson and his wife Melissa Carlson, sister-in-law June Byrne (Robert) and nephews, Ryan (Shawna) Byrne and Colin (Lindy) Byrne. Further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Helga was a well known dealer of antiques for 25 years. She truly did what she enjoyed. Her love of pets was deep. Her trips to St. George Island Florida with Ivan were the highlight of the past 25 years. A passion for caring for wild birds and squirrels was evident at her Greenfield home. Helga enjoyed taking her dear friend Myrtle Wilke on trips to casinos. She looked at her as her most trusted friend. Helga was kind, giving, generous and put the needs of others first. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and that were touched by her. A special thanks to Horizon Hospice nurses and staff also to the efforts of Mike and Joe. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wisconsin Humane Society are appreciated. Private family services will be held
