Smolen, Helen J. (Nee Kurzynski) Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Allen J. (Judith) and Joseph L. (the late Mary Beth) Smolen. Dearest grandmother of Allen J. Jr. (Theresa) Smolen, Cheri L. Villanueva, the late James Smolen, Carol (Jerry) Jophlin, the late Sandra L. Schmidt and Gail A. (Tim) Carson. Sister of Cecelia Evanow, the late Laura (the late Matthew) Stachura, Mary (the late Walter) Wegner and the late George Kurzynski. Further survived by 21 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, other family and friends. Visitation on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 4pm 8pm with a 7pm prayer service at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. Relatives and friends will gather at 10am on Wednesday for prayers and procession to Chapel Hill Cemetery at 11am.
