The beloved wife of the late Dr. Theodore Heller, Helen was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her adoring children, Dr. Barbara (the Honorable Judith Rice) Heller, Thomas A. Heller, Mary H. (the late Bill) Smith, Patricia M. (William Vought) Heller, and Robert (Lourian) Heller. Helen's legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Anna M. (Alex) Vosberg, Alex W. Smith, and Michelle (Michael) Schoch, and her great-grandchildren, Teddy, Miles, Molly, and Mia, who will always remember her fondly. Helen is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Helen's educational journey culminated in a degree in Education from Mount Mary College, which laid the foundation for her role as a pillar of support and a fountain of wisdom within her community. Her career began as a secretary for her future husband, Dr. Theodore Heller, and blossomed into a fulfilling position as an investment representative later in life.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Helen's life was rich with interests and hobbies. She was an avid member of two bridge clubs, where her warm demeanor and strategic mind were greatly valued by her fellow players. Her love for golf was matched by her skill on the links, and she enjoyed many sunny afternoons on the greens. But above all, Helen's true joy was found in being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The countless hours she spent nurturing, teaching, and playing with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.
Helen's spirit of service extended beyond her family as she dedicated her time to volunteering at the Milwaukee County Zoo and Froedtert Hospital. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many, and her selfless contributions enriched the lives of those around her.
Those who knew Helen will remember her as a loving, kind, and friendly soul whose presence could light up a room. Her laughter was infectious, her advice was sought after, and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life was truly remarkable.
