Haydee Morin

Morin, Haydee Lavenant Haydee Lavenant Morin, 75, of Prairie View, IL passed away on March 27, 2020. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she is survived by her children, Violeta O'Brien and husband, Bob (Island Lake, IL); Darryl Morin and wife Angela (Franklin, WI); grandchildren: Brittany O'Brien, Christopher O'Brien, Nathaniel Morin, Matthew Morin; and Haydee’s siblings: Gustavo Lavenant and wife Margot (Crystal City, TX) and Olivia Lopez (Crystal City, TX) and Brothers and Sisters in Law Catarina Hernandez and husband Mike (San Antonio, TX); Ofelia Fonseca (San Antonio, TX); Sylvia Spaulding (Pleasanton, TX) and Ofelia De Leon Morin (Dilley, TX). Haydee was known to many as a loving, compassionate, and generous woman who made everyone feel special. She shared many joyful moments with all and was always there for her family and friends in their greatest moments of need. Haydee was born on July 30, 1944 in Pearsall, TX. Born to Gustavo and Anita Lavenant (Dilley, TX), Haydee as a child could often be heard hosting her father’s radio show on KBOP in Pleasanton, Texas. She married her husband Santana Morin of Cotulla, TX and together they raised their three children Violet, Darryl and Orlando Morin and saw each graduate from college. We thank the Lord for the privilege of having Haydee Morin in our lives. Due to the current situation, the family will be live-streaming her service at 10:30 a.m. (Central Time Zone) on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at www.facebook.com/StMaryCatholicFaithCommunity and will plan a celebration later this summer in Cotulla, TX for friends and family to gather and celebrate Haydee’s full and wonderful life.
