Gregory James Yeske, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 6, 1949, to the late Hillman and Joyce (Roseland) Yeske, Greg's life was a testament to the strength of character, dedication, and the joy of adventure.
Greg's journey began in Waukesha, where he was born and raised. His life was rich with the love and laughter of a large family. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Christine (Tyler) Brandenburg, and his loving son, Brian Yeske. Greg's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Noah, Kayla, Taylor, Jayden, and Liam, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. He was a cherished brother to Vicky Yeske, Patricia Yeske Schmidt, Gina (Jeff) Klimek, and Cindy (Nate) Pritzl. His life was further enriched by the love of many nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, with whom he shared many of life's greatest adventures.
Greg dedicated over 40 years to Waukesha Engine, now known as General Electric, where his commitment to excellence and camaraderie with his colleagues stood as a hallmark of his career. A man of many interests, Greg's passions painted the picture of a life well-lived. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace and thrill in hunting deer, turkey, and bear, as well as in the quiet patience of fishing. Greg was also a proud Packers fan, his loyalty to the team as steadfast as his love for his family. He and his late wife, Barbara, shared a love for traveling on his Harley, feeling the freedom of the open road together. The couple also enjoyed visiting casinos, where Greg's honest and loving nature was a lucky charm in itself.
Greg will be remembered as a loving and passionate man, a man of his word whose integrity was as reliable as the sunrise. His honest demeanor and steadfast presence were a comfort to all who knew him. Those who were fortunate enough to have shared in his journey will recall his hearty laugh, his generous spirit, and the warmth of his companionship.
As the sun sets on Greg's earthly chapter, we honor a life that exemplified love, commitment, and the pursuit of happiness. His memory will be celebrated on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Moose Lodge S86W21693 Janesville Rd., Muskego from 11 AM to 3 PM.
