He met his wife at University of Illinois where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He weathered multiple health challenges but those didn’t stop him from enjoying life. He designed and built a portable dialysis machine which enabled him to travel both overseas and on camping trips, and to spend more time with family, like playing Legos with his son. He was happy to be a handyman, especially car repairs. When he was no longer able to do the work himself, he was delighted to tell the rest of us exactly what to do. Services will take place at Max A Sass & Sons Funeral Home - Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave, Franklin) on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Visitation will take place from 9:30 am until 11 am with the service starting at 11 am. Donations appreciated to National Kidney Foundation and Aurora-at-Home Hospice.
