Born to Eternal Life December 17, 2023 at the age of 82 years. Loving husband of Joy (Nee Fritz) Hansen for 62 years. Loving dad of Jeff (Sharon) Hansen, Curt ( Jane) Hansen and Cheryl (Ed Leonhardt) Hansen. Brother of Debbie (Donald) Haack. Best grandpa of Michael (Isabelle) Hansen, Jessica Hansen, Melissa Hansen, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Hansen, Emily (Max) Mierendorf, Rachael Morawicz, Naddie Hansen and Steven Hansen. Best great grandpa of Kalia Hansen, Khloe Hansen, Zaskia Hansen, Lily and Myles. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Lester and June Hansen.

Gordon was born in Battle Creek MI, but later moved to Milwaukee, where he attended South Division High School. After graduating, Gordon joined the Milwaukee Police Department and served as a patrolman at District 5 for 35 years. Upon his retirement he and his wife Joy enjoyed traveling, and went on many trips including Aruba, Hawaii, Alaska, and Nevada, and many trips to Springfield IL to visit family. Gordon was known as a dedicated family man, and always had a kind smile to share. He cherished his loved ones and always put their needs above his own. His favorite pass-time was watching a ball game. He rarely missed a Brewer or Packer game, and immensely enjoyed it when his grandchildren would show up on a Sunday to watch with him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family extends a special thanks to the caregivers at Franciscan Villa and the staff at Brighton Hospice care for the terrific care and support given to Gordon. Gordy would love it if everyone wore your favorite Brewer or Packer Apparel.

Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St. Greenfield, WI) on Thursday January 4, 2024, from 1-4 with the funeral service at 4 PM. Private Interment.
