Glenn Roger Newville FRANKLIN - Passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the age of 94. Born June 22, 1925 in Reeseville, WI to Elsa (Henke) and Lester Newville. Preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Peggy Stollberg, and both sons, Jeffrey and Curtis. Survived by daughters, Kery (Russ Kafka) and Connie, and only grandchild, Meghan Koven. Also survived by 2 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Glenn was a decent, kind man who will be missed. Glenn played soccer and gymnastics at Custer HS. He enlisted in WWII right after high school graduation and served in the Army – Air Force as a navigator. After the war, Glenn became a dance instructor where he met Peggy, a fellow dance instructor, and began his family. With an interest in electronics, he went on to repair radios and televisions before enjoying a long career with General Motors. He retired in 1980 as a manufacturing engineer, then became an independent consultant in the electronic component industry. Special thanks to the VA and to VITAS Hospice for years of care. A private burial will take place with no plans for a memorial service.
