Germaine Mellema (Nee Belter). Passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2020 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Timothy for 49 years. Loving mother of Jill Almond. Cherished and proud grandma of Dylan and Bradley. Dear sister of the late Kathleen Thompson, Thomas (Helen) Belter, the late Daniel Belter, and Karen Olsen. Further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other loved relatives, and friends. Germaine was a retired school teacher. She pursued her Master's Degree while teaching and raising her family. During her tenure, she received the prestigious award of Teacher of the Year. She always stressed the importance of education. Germaine was the model of and will continue to be an inspiration to all that knew her for dignity, strength, and wisdom. Private family services.
