Theis, Gerald N. Born September 26, 1920 to Peter and Laura (Nee Kornely) Theis and passed away November 3, 2012. Brother of Rosemary and the late Jim, Peter and Laurel. Gerald joined the Marine Corps during WWII and served in the South Pacific and upon his return home he entered the Marquette Law School and graduated in 1947. His great love was history and his knowledge was extensive and could rival that of a great historian, Arnold Toynbee. During his retirement he traveled Europe extensively. Gerald also loved cards, but his greatest love was his family, of whom he is very proud. Gerald was a devout Roman Catholic, a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society and various committees at St. Dominic Church in Brookfield. Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter Marianne, his beloved wife Genevieve and his dearest friend Shirley. Survived by his daughter Laura (Dennis) Sheppard, Rosanne (Tim) Berry, Geraldine (Doug) Gunderson, Margaret (Pat) Kenyon and Jennifer (Chris) Stase. Further survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Visitation at Blessed Sacrament Church (3100 S. 41st Street) on Friday November 9th from 9 - 9:45 AM with the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Max A.
