Gerald "Jerry" Mutza

Gerald “Jerry” L. Mutza, age 79, of Muskego, WI, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020. Jerry is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Betty of 53 years; his children Mike (Mary) Mutza, Brad (Angie) Mutza, Deborah (Kelly) Conyers, and Holly (Mike) Belcaster; his grandchildren Mark (Meredith) Mutza, Morgan, Max, Tori (Nick) Hill, Madison, Colin, Ian, Quinn, Megan, Reese, and Brennan; and his great grandchild Ava. He is further survived by other loved relatives and friends. Jerry attended Notre Dame High School and attributed the School Sisters of Notre Dame for teaching him the value of his Catholic faith, the importance of family and working hard to achieve his goals. After high school he served in the Air National Guard, then owned and operated Forest Home Auto Body for many years. At one point he also owned and ran a pizza restaurant. He could make some delicious pizza for sure!! Family was Jerry’s hobby and he loved them dearly. He always made time to talk, and at the time nothing was more important than you. He attended all of his kids’ events when they were growing up and then loved attending all the grandkids sports games, tournaments, performances, scouting events, and family gatherings. Jerry’s Catholic faith was very important to him. He served on the parish finance committee and was a Trustee for many years. He sent his children to Catholic grade school and high school. Additionally, he started and ran multiple game booths at the church festival for over 40 years – anyone want to win a goldfish? Jerry, Dad and Grandpa will be dearly missed. He will always be with us in his little “head hugs,” “whisker kisses,” and “rotor rooters.” Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. We love you!! Services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Visitation is from 3:00-4:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, WI, 53103. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the church. There will be a private internment for immediate family.
