George W. Boerner, Sr.

Boerner, George W. Sr. Went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2011 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Karola (nee Scheller). Caring and loving father of Anita (the late Jerry) Tredeau, George Jr. (Diane), Nancy (Ray) McGinnis and Sue (John) Wade. Fond grandpa of Jennifer (Kevin) Hackbarth, Patrick and Michael Tredeau, Lisa and Katie Boerner, Jim, Emily and Danny McGinnis, and Shawn (Melanie), Joseph (Connie) and Jared Wade, and a proud great-grandpa. Brother of Gustav Jr. "Jack" (Ruth) Boerner. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his siblings Griffith, Grace Plant, Gilbert (Celia) and John (Florence - survives). George served in the US Army during WWII, was a retiree of Rexnord and a longtime member of Redeemer Evangelical Free Church. George thanks his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his many years of sobriety.
