George M.B. Van Gorden

October 16, 1944 — April 5, 2022

George M.B. Van Gorden passed away at his home in Milwaukee on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the age of 77. George was preceded in death by his parents George and Natalie (nee Frechette) Van Gorden and his daughter Sherry Van Gorden. He is survived by his loving wife, Jana Van Gorden (nee Rehbein), sister Margaret (Roger) Hallman, children Daniel G. Van Gorden, and David (Sheila) Van Gorden, grandchildren Daniel, Holly, Tyler and Ashley, great-grandchildren Idalys, Kaysia, Tadym, Ellimere and Amelia, as well as his nieces, nephews, in-laws and other family members. George was born on October 16, 1944, in Marietta, WI but would spend most of his life in the Milwaukee area. George served his country in the US Army 3rd Infantry Division as a Combat Engineer from 1961-1964 while stationed in Germany. He was employed at Milwaukee Cylinder for 15 years and later he grew his own media distribution business. George was a nature lover, and always enjoyed the outdoors. He loved cars, football, trains and his family. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution. A Celebration of Life will be held April 27, 2022 from 3pm-6pm at the Oak Creek Lions Club. 9327 S. Shepard Avenue Oak Creek, WI.
