Gene Van Remmen

Gene Van Remmen died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on May 24, 2016 at the age of 78. Gene was born on August 26, 1937. He graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1955. Gene was united in marriage with Judie Van Remmen on September 21, 1957. A successful businessman, Gene fulfilled his life-long dream and owned and operated the Traditional Pancake House Restaurant and Sandra's on the Park. He also enjoyed spending time with family and travelling with Judie. Gene's generosity, sense of humor and smile will be remembered by all. Gene is survived by his wife Judie (nee Dorn); daughters Holly (Lou Ann) Van Remmen, PhD, Sandra (Michael) Van Remmen Prosser, and Laura (Thomas) Van Remmen Garncarz. Papa Pancake to Ryan, Adam, Elena and Sela. Great-grandpa of Owen and Oliver. Dearest brother of Thomas Van Remmen, the late Glenn and the late Duane Van Remmen. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL from 3pm until time of Funeral Service at 6pm.
