G. Donald "Don" Thompson

Franklin - Passed on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 (age 96). Loving and loved husband of Mary A. (nee Godsell) for 72 years (m. 11/6/48). Survived and loved by his three children, Joan, Jan, and Jim (Kristi); three grandchildren, Jim (Danyele), Mike (Katie) and Erica (Todd Wilson); seven great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Taylor, Kaydence, Erin, Owen, Xander and Libby; and many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Hulbert and Marie Thompson. Retired from Wisconsin Motors in 1987. Former member of Sandhill Booster Club. U.S. Stamp collector for more than 80 years. Proud collector of more than 17,000 logo golf balls. Family and friends are welcome to gather at St. Martin of Tours Church (7963 S. 116th St, Franklin, WI) on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 from 10-10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Because of COVID, masks are mandatory. The Mass will be live-streamed for those who can't attend in person.
