Fredric R. Wein

Wein, Fredric R. Fred was taken to Heaven on December 15, 2012 due to heart failure at age 84. He was waiting for surgery and had family at his side. Fred was a loving husband of 57 years to Elizabeth "Betty" Wein. Fred was an endearing husband and great father survived by his sons Kenneth, Keith and Jeffrey (Kelly)Wein. Born August 10, 1928. Fred was a Korean War Veteran and retired railroad engineer. Fred and Betty owned a resort in St. Germain, WI for more than 20 years before permanently retiring back to Brookfield, Wi to be with family and grandchildren. Fred was a strong man who never gave up and always found a way to continue living through all his complications. Fred was a caring and giving man who would always lend a hand to help no matter how he was feeling. Fred could make friends instantly with his endearing personality and helping ways. Fred loved life and always found a way to bring humor and a smile to others. At 84, Fred was a very active and always ready to go. He and Betty were still planning their annual winter vacation to Cape Coral, FL. Fred was always there for Betty and family, a husband and father second to none. Fred never saw an auction he did not want to go to. Fred is survived by his grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon, Nicolle, Ashley, Krista, Daniel, Lauren and Matthew. He is further survived by a large circle of friends and relatives. His joy, laughter, love and caring life will be deeply missed by all and forever remembered. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 4 PM until 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Forest Home Cemetery Chapel (2405 W.
