Frank S. Formankiewicz

Age 78. Passed away on July 16th, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Maryann for 45 years. Loving father of Dory Formankiewicz and super grandpa to Courtney Frances. Also survived by his sister Dolores (the late Gene) Blonski and brother of Richard (Mary) Formankiewicz. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank A. and Clara (Biankowski) Formankiewicz, sister Gloria Formankiewicz and daughter Lynn (Dan) Kruse. Also survived by other relatives, friends and 2 furry kitties. Frank is retired from the Milwaukee County Transit System after 27 years of service and affectionately called "The Beast". He spent his time there as driver, clerk, investigator, supervisor and dispatcher. Frank also spent about 10 years as a motorcycle policeman for the Milwaukee Police Department. He was appreciated as a very humorous addition to both places. Frank and Maryann were avid campers for 40 years and loved their trailer in Fond du Lac county. Visitation will be at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21 from 11am till prayer service at 1:00 pm. A memorial mass will be said at a later date and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
