Frank R. Mutranowski was born in Milwaukee, WI on 1/8/1932. He passed from this life on February 3, 2025, at the age of 93. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank (Mutranowski) Munro and Lucille (Gapinski) Mutranowski, and his beloved spouse, Dorothy (Koronkowski) Mutranowski. Frank is survived by his 5 sons, Thomas (Kia) from TX, William (Yuko) from Japan, Robert, James (Sandra), and Joseph (Terri) all from WI along with eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He leaves behind one brother, one brother-in-law and five sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank was drafted into the United States Military in March 1952 and served two years in the United States Marine Corps where he was assigned to a Seagoing Marine Detachment. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal in March of 1954. He then married the love of his life, the late Dorothy Koronkowski, on 9/4/1954. They were married 65 years before her passing in 2019.
Frank loved music and played the drums, the accordion, and the organ. Although not a trained, career musician, he played the drums in a 3-piece supper club band (The Erv Tee Trio) for over 35 years. In his later years, he could often be found at area nursing homes playing his accordion for the residents.
Frank began his working career in 10th grade as a pin spotter, then a sausage maker, a milkman, an appliance salesman, and a machinist where he transitioned into full-time industrial sales. He finished his career as a salesman for Flexible Products. After retiring at age 62, he enjoyed many travels with his wife; seeing the sites and visiting family.
Frank joined the Badger Detachment of the Marine Corps League in 2002 and served as battalion drummer on the rifle team. He was a founding member of Saint Charles Borromeo Parish in Milwaukee, WI until moving to Franklin, WI. He became a member of St. Mary Catholic Faith Community in Hales Corners, WI where he served faithfully for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Accordion Club of Milwaukee for over 20 years. Alongside his wife Dorothy, Frank served 30 years as a volunteer for the Xaverian Missionary Fathers’ annual festival in Franklin, WI, chairing the entertainment committee.

Services will be at St Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI 53135 on February 28th, Visitation from 9:30 until 10:15, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
