GEROVAC, FLORENCE THERESA (Nee Bandoszeski) Departed this world on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at the age of 92, just as she requested, at home in her sleep. Born on Feb. 14, 1926, the 19th out of 22 children of the late John and Anna (Zakrzewski). Her husband of 68 years, Emil, preceded her in death. She was the devoted mother to Susan Ann (the late Bob) Emmons and Chris Nicholas (Jeanne) Gerovac. She delighted in the presence of her granddaughter, Jacqueline Sue (Emmons) Stokes and grandsons Nick Ryan and Clint Arnold Gerovac. Survived by a number of relatives and friends. As a lifelong resident of Franklin, Wi., throughout her life she was fascinated with nature, particularly hummingbirds, loved the color lavender, enjoyed raising kittens and baked the best apple pies in the world. She was raised as a Catholic and prayed to the Mother Mary daily for help to bear the back pain she suffered for many years, but even so, play a Polka and the pain would vanish long enough to dance a little. She believed in being sincere to those she met and perhaps her biggest accomplishment was the example she imparted on those who knew her best…being humble, compassionate, and full of grace. She was the royalty in our family, the glue we shall always cherish and as she requested; for us, to keep her love in our hearts, forever. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday December 16, 2018 from 12 pm until 2 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel with a service at 2 pm.
