Ethel M. Navarro

September 20, 1928 — October 13, 2024

Ethel M. Navarro, aged 96, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Born on September 20, 1928, to Emil and Anna, Ethel spent her lifetime nurturing a family and home that was the epitome of care and affection. Her unwavering commitment to her family was mirrored in her enduring marriage of 74 years to her beloved husband, Ruben.

Ethel's legacy is carried on through her devoted children, Ramona (Thomas), and Timothy (Roberta). She was a cherished grandmother to Jason (Katie), Stephanie, Samantha, Rachael (Jim), Jessica (Adam), and Elisabeth (Jakob). Her love further blossomed to touch the lives of her great-grandchildren Ruby, Violet, Clara, and Archer, and extended family Diane, Katherine, and Gerald each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna, and her sister Dorothy who set her on a path of kindness and compassion that she walked unfalteringly throughout her life.

Professionally, Ethel was a meticulous bookkeeper, a role in which her detail-oriented nature shone brightly. Her analytical skills were matched only by her loving, selfless character. When not balancing books, Ethel embraced her role as a homemaker with equal passion and dedication. She had a unique ability to create warmth and comfort that made her home a sanctuary for all who entered.

Ethel's interests reflected her personality—careful, devoted, and always with a touch of wit. She possessed an exceptional talent for canning and gardening, ensuring that her family enjoyed the fruits of her labor throughout the year. Her methodical approach to money was a lesson in financial prudence to those around her, and her joy in feeding the birds showcased her nurturing spirit.
