Tourangeau, Ernest J. ''Ernie'' Of Friendship, WI. Age 84 years. April 1, 2008. Dearly beloved husband of Beverly (nee Nunemaker) for 57 years. Loving father of Darlene (Elliot) DeRocher, Dennis (Diane) Tourangeau, Dale Tourangeau and Thomas (Laurel) Tourangeau. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Brother Clement Tourangeau, O'pream., Eugene (Lorraine) Tourangeau, Arthur (BettyLou) Tourangeau, Martha Tourangeau, Roger (Betty) Tourangeau and brother-in-law of Arthur Nunemaker and Donald Reuter. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his sisters, Bernadette Reuter and Cecile Fries, and brothers, Rene Tourangeau and Leo Tourangeau. Ernie was a former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 99 of St. Catherine Congregation, Milwaukee; a member of 390th Bomb Group Vet Assoc.; the American Legion Red Cloud Post # 250; and, a member of Steel Workers Union 19806. Ernie was born October 16, 1923 in Danforth, Upper Michigan to Arthur and Valerie (nee Charbonneau) Tourangeau. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army-AirCorps in the European Theater. He was stationed at a B-17 air base in England for 22 months. He married Beverly on Aug. 26, 1950 and worked at A. O. Smith Corp. 38 years, retiring in 1986. In 1990 he and Bev moved to their retirement cottage in Quincey Township. Ernest enjoyed taking care of his property, snow blowing in the winter his driveway and that of his neighbors, and, playing cards Liturgical Service 4:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2008 at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK, Chapel of the Chimes, 132nd and W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield WI. Fr. Jeff Prasser officiating. Military Honors to be rendered Sun. at 3:50 pm in the Chapel just prior to Service. Burial on Monday April 7 at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday from 2:00 until 3:45 PM.
