Sobczak, Ernest E. Sr. "Ernie" Born to eternal life on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Age 88. Loving husband of Shirley Smukowski-Sobczak. Ernie was preceded in death by his first wife Christine Sobczak (nee Siwakowski).Beloved dad of Ernest Jr (Claudia), Thomas (Christine) and the late Dr. Dennis Sobczak, the late Charlene Nikolaus, and Patricia (Philip) Olson. Loving step-dad of Gail Sklodowski, David (Patty) Smukowski, Jay (Valentina) Smukowski, Lynn (Gary) Wallis and Jill Smukowski. Proud grandfather of Margaret (Jeff) Hamers, Ernest III (Analyn), Joseph, Michael (Bekka) and Tom (Kathryn) Sobczak, Brittney (Travis) Boechler, Dan Sobczak, Dr. Katherine (Dr. Alex) Cohen, Drew (Amanda) and Alexander Sobczak, Christopher Jr. , Corbin (Christen) and Chadwick Nikolaus, Cody and Christian Olson and step-grandfather of Jamie and Stephen Rozwadowski, Jennifer (Dan) Blaszczynski, Kristin (Eric) Zydowicz, Chad Crosby, Caitlin (Louis) Heil, Anna Smukowski and Keeley Wallis. Dear great grandfather of Helena and Lilly Hamers, Hannah Cohen, Ella and McKenzie Rozwadowski, Alyssa, Kylie and Brody Blaszczynski, Kaiya and Maximus Heil, Kayleigh, Kasin, and Kashton Nikolaus. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation at St Marys Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave. Hales Corners, Saturday, Feb. 4th, 9am - 10:45 am. Mass of Christian burial at 11am. Entombment with prayers and military honors to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Ernie was a proud Veteran who served in Korea: Past Commander of VFW Post #8171, Muskego. A member of Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight and 3rd degree member of St. Leonards Council #6448, Muskego; 4th degree member of Sacred Heart Assembly #3316, Franklin. He is also a member of St Marys Parish and Young at Heart Club at the parish, and a member of the Moose lodge # 1057, Muskego. The family would like to thank the staff and Chaplains of Kindred Hospice Care Services for the care and compassion provided to Ernie.
