Elli H. Brodhagen

Age 84, found peace on October 1, 2006 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Elli was born on February 23, 1922 in Greifenberg, Germany, immigrating to the United States in 1929. She married Max Brodhagen in 1945, devoting 61 years to him and their beloved children; Sharon (Robert) Beischer, Sandra (Peter) Freres and Richard (April) Brodhagen. She was a very special grandma to David (Stephanie) Beischer, Tim Freres and Bryan Brodhagen. Great-grandma of Ella Beischer. Elli is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Lewie) Deppe, dear aunt Nelda Hartwig, special granddaughter Tanya (Jeff) Tridle, other relatives and friends here in the US and Germany. Elli was a longtime resident of Greenfield and was active in the Women's Club and Chamber of Commerce. Elli was a self taught musician who loved crafts, traveling, baking and being with her family. Funeral Service Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 6:15pm at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. Private entombment Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4 - 6:15pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Parkinson's Foundation appreciated.
