Elizabeth "Betty" Girmscheid

Girmscheid, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Nee Kramer) Passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was 76 years of age. Beloved wife of the late James Girmscheid. Loving mother of Mark (Bonnie) Thelen, Steven (Debra) Thelen, Catherine Doerr, Anthony (Renee) Thelen, Julie (Scott) Girmscheid, Kenneth (Ruth) Girmscheid, James M. (Linda) Girmscheid and Joseph (Natalie) Girmscheid. Dear sister to Mike (the late Peggy) Kramer and Len (the late Mariam) Kramer. Beloved wife of the late Harry Thelen. Much loved by 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alberta Kramer and her sisters Delores (Ray) Reif, Kathleen (Edwin) Brandt and Ester Kramer. Betty was active at the West Allis Senior Center and was a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, where she was involved with the bell choir and St. Ben's. The family sends a special thank you to the Kidney Center as well as the St. Francis ICU staff. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 10 to 11:45 AM at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (3160 S. 63rd Street, Milwaukee). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church or to a charity of one's choice.
