Eileen Therese Nettesheim (Nee Maney). Born May 17, 1931 and passed into Eternal Life on September 20, 2019 at the age of 88. She was the devoted wife for 32 years of the late, beloved Joseph M. Nettesheim. Beautiful mother of Joan (Dick) Galli, Jean (Mike) Stephens, Sheila (Jim) Axt, Donna (Chuck) Maurer, Therese Nettesheim, Robert (Michele) Nettesheim, Mary Jo (Dennis) Kowalinski, Monica (Brian) Rausch, and Joseph (Maribeth) Nettesheim. Kind grandmother to 36 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Margaret Loughney, her sister-in-law Rose Maney, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents Raymond and Kathryn Maney, her sister, Sr. Marie Juan, OP and her brother Jim Maney. Eileen Therese Agnes [Maney] Nettesheim will be missed by so many. With her [late] husband, Joseph Mathias Nettesheim, she built a robust legacy of love and life. Her nine children, their spouses, her 36 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren knew the kindness, strength and resilience of their mother and grandmother and what it means to "be family." Her Irish parents, Raymond and Kathryn Maney, raised four children on a farm in Vernon. Joe was a young neighboring farmer, and one of seven children, born to John and Christina Nettesheim. Both families were active parishioners at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Big Bend. Eileen sang in the church choir and for a time was the organist. She attended local dances and church socials. After graduating from Mercy High School, Eileen worked at Bradley Credit Bureau in downtown Milwaukee and also as a secretary in the mailroom office of Sacred Heart Monastery in Hales Corners. Eileen married Joe on October 24, 1953. Faith, family and farming was their way of life. As a wife and mother she lived a hearty, healthy and holy life. She had a beautiful devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, especially through the rosary and miraculous medal. She passed many blessed medals out to all her family members. After 32 years of marriage, her beloved Joe, passed on to eternal life. So, after being a steadfast stay-at-home mother for so many years, Eileen joined the work-world at Muskego library and the New Berlin Company. Her legacy of love and life was always built on her belief in, and love for family! In a farmer's life, God called Eileen home in the early morning hours of "milking time." Visitation will take place at Max A. Sass & Sons-Westwood Chapel on Tuesday, September 24 from 4-6:30PM. Rosary Service at 6:30PM with family eulogies to follow. Additional visitation will be held at ST. CLARE CATHOLIC CHURCH (7616 Fritz St., Windlake) on Wednesday, September 25 from 10-10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Eileen's nephew, Fr. Jerry Herda, at 11AM. Donations can be made in the Catholic tradition of 'Stipends for Masses' [for Eileen].
