Two of the most fulfilling aspects of Ed's life began on July 30, 1937, the day he passed the Firefighter's Oral Exam and married his beloved Connie. After reaching retirement age, Ed spent most of his time as a School Board Director, who faced many challenges including busing and negotiating with the most powerful teacher's union in the state of Wisconsin. He earned the respect of friend and foe alike because of his honesty and consistency of character. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to support children's education. Max A.
