Edward R. Freuden

Freuden, Edward R. Joined his beloved wife Marian in Heaven on August 14, 2010 at the age of 92 years. Beloved dad of Sandra (John) Stuart, Lynne (the late Ronald) Gutknecht, the late Jon, Nancy (Donald) McRae, Gary (Renee), JoAnn (Stan) Haima and Edward C. Further survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service Thursday 10 am at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home. Interment Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 pm and thereafter Thursday 9-10 am. Ed was the owner and president of Standard Roofing Company and was the past president of the Wisconsin Roofing Association. He was proud to serve his country in the Army 94th Infantry Division in the European theater during WWII. He was a lifetime VFW member and a member of the Military Order of the COOTIES. Ed was a proud supporter of many charitable organizations. The Freuden family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Heartland Hospice, especially Jessi and Kristi for all of their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials to benefit veterans or the Humane Society appreciated. Ed’s life was dedicated to his large family for whom his thoughtfulness, integrity and good humor provided a model for their lives. He loved to travel, family gatherings and began each day reading the newspaper.
