Edward Meyer

Born to Eternal Life on November 24, 2024 at age 85.

Lovingly survived by his "ever lovin" Mary, of 64 years.

Beloved father of the late Michael (Bobbi) Meyer, Julie (Del) Swanson and Therese Pekar.

Proud grandpa of Matthew (Alexa), Karleigh (Paul), Megan (Michael), Hannah (Randy), Michalia, Jordan and Emily.

Great grandpa of Aubree, Addison, Addilyn, Hailey and Kole.

Dear brother of Sharon.

Brother in law of Claire (Bob) Schaefer, LucyAnn (Bob) Yocum and Carol (Jack) Makovsky.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Elizabeth Meyer and his in-laws William and Lucy Markert.

Eddie loved spending time with his family. His wife Mary was the center of his world. They enjoyed spending time together in their comfy home in the woods with all the critters that came to visit everyday. He called his grandchildren and great grandchildren “the delights” of his life.

Eddie worked at Kyle (Eaton) for 42 years. When not working, he could be found in his garage, listening to his favorite music while restoring his 1937 Ford Coupe and 1947 Hudson. He and mom had many good times at car shows and made many dear friends along the way.

Pa was known as the man who could fix anything, and it was true! There was always a project on his workbench that someone had dropped off knowing it would be returned “as good as new”, as he liked to say. Many friends of his children chose to adopt Pa as their dad which he considered a great honor. lf you knew him, chances are he made you a bowl of popcorn, played a joke on you, threw a water balloon or a snowball at you, fixed your car or your toaster and told you “I love you dearly”.

Eddie touched many lives, taught many valuable lessons, created countless precious memories and was an amazing example of love and dedication. He was an extraordinary man, and his loss will be deeply felt by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pa; we are so very thankful for you, we will think of you every day, and will miss you more than words can say. Most of all, know that we love YOU dearly.

Our family is very thankful to the medical teams and caregivers that supported Ed and us over the years.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 noon.
