Edward J. Brotzel

Brotzel, Edward J. Found peace on May 23, 2013. Preceded in death by his wife Diane, his son David, his sisters Frances Richardson and Gerry Nowak and his brother Anthony Brotzel. Dearest father of Linda (Lane) Beard and Connie (George) Ott. Cherished grandpa of Jennifer (Mark) Langdon, Kimberly Beard, Kelly Beard, Nichole Ott and Mitchell Ott. beloved great-grandfather of Nicholas Beard-Thomas, Jacob Langdon, Maggie Langdon and Christopher Beard. Further survived by sisters Louise Szerbat, Dolores Zaeske, Carole (Richard) Duane and brother-in-law Robert (Jaque) Grzesk. Edward was a longtime member of UAW Local No. 9 during his 30 years at Pabst Brewery. He also served in the US Marine Corps from 1945 to 1949 as a Staff Sergeant in the First Marine Air Wing. Edward will be fondly remembered as an avid horseshoe player, golfer, bowler, cribbage player, gardener, fisherman and "Featherhead of Feather Trail" at Lake Arrowhead, Wisconsin. Visitation in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM with a vigil service at 7 PM. Additional visitation in ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CATHOLIC CHURCH(5571 S. Marilyn Street, Greenfield) on WEDNESDAY May 29 from 10 to 10:45 AM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Entombment with full military honors will be in Arlington Park Cemetery.
