Ed was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Marquette University High School, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette Medical School. He completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital followed by 2 years of service in the Navy. Returning to Milwaukee he entered private practice in obstetrics and gynecology. During his tenure he served as department chair at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Ed and Kathy built the family home in Greendale where they welcomed one and all. One of Ed’s great pleasures was exploring 47 states with his children in the 32 foot “Blue Avocado” motorhome. Ed was a driven man and anything he did he did with great passion, such as running 50 marathons after turning 50 (including 8 Boston), daily crack-of-dawn tee times at Whitnall, attending daily mass, delivering over 6,000 babies, playing pick-up basketball, and cultivating over 300 rose bushes. He loved and was very proud of his children and their spouses. Each grandchild and great-grandchild had a special place in his heart, remarkably two share his birthday. Ed found great joy in providing counsel and encouragement to so many throughout the community. Visitation Friday March 19, 2021 from 9:30 am until 12 pm at the Max A.
