Edward C. Nelson Born in Rockford, IL on June 7, 19?? Age 75-85 years old. He was raised throughout Wisconsin. Edward passed away peacefully on August 20, 2020. His daughters Natalie and Kim, Stepdaughter Tracy, and Granddaughter’s Mariah and Alexis all got to say their last goodbyes. Eddie’s wife of 37 years, Linda, compassionately and with all the love she had for him helped him through his final moments. He is survived by his loving daughters Natalie Nelson and Kim Kamine (nee Nelson) and her fiancé Shane. Loving Stepdaughter Tracy Stillman, and Loving Stepson Gary Stillman who both affectionately called him “Daddy Eddie”. Grandpa to Eddie, Angie, Betsy, Megan, and Courtney. Loving Papa to Mariah (His Basketball Girl). Proud Great Grandpa of 7. Great Granddaughter Alexis holds a special place in his heart. His favorite Niece Becky Brinn-Nelson and three Nephews Norm, Danny, and David. Many other countless relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brother Howie and sisters Betty, Jacqueline, and Nancy. Eddie was the owner of “Nelson’s”. His greatest joy was making people laugh with his jokes and funny stories!! So, tell a funny joke in his memory!! “Well Honey, you have a whole new audience in Heaven so keep them laughing!! We will all Love and Miss you forever!!!!” Special thanks to the staff of Ascension/Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin ICU. Joe LeVan for all the compassion and support he gave me in helping Eddie in his final moments. Elisa Diermeir for keeping me calm and focused, you are my Angel on Earth. Eddie never liked sadness. He always told me, " when it’s my time, throw a big party" and that’s what we plan to do. There will be a Celebration of Eddie’s life at a later date, sometime next year when it is safe for everyone to enjoy and share stories and most importantly laugh!! “Eddie was the greatest husband, he made me feel special every single day. He will forever be the love of my life!!”
