Podlaski, Edmund P. Ed Passed away on July 22, 2017 at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Leona (nee Mogilka) for 67 years. Tremendous father of Linda (Bruce) Warren and Paul Podlaski. Dedicated grandfather of Daniel Podlaski, Tammy (Guillermo) Salas and Jef Warren. Great-grandfather of 5. Brother of Victor Podlaski and the late Alice (the late Henry) Zremski. Uncle of Neal (Becky) Zremski and cousin of Kazimierz Zaniewski. Brother-in-law of the late Damian (Loretta) Mogilka. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Ed was a proud 1943 graduate of Pulaski High School and Marquette University. He served in the US Army (106th Infantry Division) during WWII, captured during the Battle of the Bulge and was a POW for 6 months and a proud attendee of the 2010 Honor Flight. A proud retiree of Sears and Roebuck after 34 years. Longtime member of St. Alexander Parish, having been a Trustee and a member of the Choir and New Life Chorus. Resident of Village at Manor Park. Loved his Tuesday swim, card playing, reading, great listener, tennis player, Packer fan and daily walks with Victor. Thanks to all the caring and supportive staff throughout the whole VA Healthcare system, especially Mike Schmidt and Terry Brennan. Visitation at ST. JOHN PAUL II PARISH - ST. ALEXANDER CHURCH, 1568 W. Holt Avenue, Milwaukee on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 9:30am to 10:45am with Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment and military honors to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Wisconsin or St. John Paul II Parish.
