Douglas L. "Doug" Pfeifer Special friend, co worker, room mate, all around Doug the painter man no matter what you called him. He left us way too soon on the evening of February 24, 2021 at the young age of 53. That night he was reunited with his loving mother Betty, father Donald and 2 brothers Rex and Scott who he missed dearly and his four legged friends Brandy, Maxwell and Brutus. Doug was a man who would help whoever he could and he would talk to whoever he needed to talk to. He was very dependent on the Milwaukee County Transit System. Wherever he needed to go he took the bus and made sure he would be on time. He will be missed by many friends that he knew and worked with and worked for. He loved to paint and the best part was to stand back and look at a job well done. Doug will be remembered by his loving little brother Schawn "Bum", special friend Big brother Kenny Lovas, his other mother Shirley Lovas, his dear friends Mark and Suzy Strothmann and Judy Zarzynski, his four legged friends Ruby & Chanel and other relatives, siblings, nieces, nephews, god son, Aunts, Uncles and many friends. His close friends knew that on the night of February 24, 2021 Doug fell asleep in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Doug had his prayer book he used every day and we would pray together. If we were in need as he said wherever two or more are gathered I am with you. We have a guardian angel looking down on us. He was very proud to be an American. When we would go camping he always had the flag out. He loved July 3rd at the lakefront with fireworks. Doug loved horses and he loved working on the farm taking care of the horses and especially the Clydesdale's. We always had to go to the shows at the fair with the Clydesdale's. He loved to drive and he would take anyone where they needed to go no matter how far it was. He just loved to be behind the wheel. He drove a limousine and loved taking care of people. Doug loved to volunteer at the Interchange food pantry. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Friday March 19, 2021 at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home (1515 W. Oklahoma Ave. Milw. WI). A memorial visitation will take place from 2 PM until time of Memorial Service at 4 PM. All are welcome to help share all the many memories of our loving friend Doug. Please let all who knew him know of our great loss. Private Interment. "Dougie we will see you soon"
