Douglas A. Farrell

Found peace on February 15, 2018 at the age of 68. He is survived by the love of his life for 34 years, Lynne (nee Buschmann), his two sons Shaun (Amanda) and Kyle Farrell. He is further survived by his two granddaughters Iyla and Cora; his brother Glen (Pat) Farrell and his sister Barbara Stanton;mother-in-law, Ruth Buschmann, sister-in-law Barb Buschmann and brothers-in-law Dick (Lynn) and Don Buschmann. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and former Harnischfeger co-workers and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline Farrell and his brother Bob (Pattie), brother-in-law, Dale Stanton, father-in-law Dale Buschmann, brother-in-law, Bill Buschmann and nephew Cody Buschmann. Doug spent his entire career at Harnischfeger Corp. He played lots of softball before he was married and coached his kids in sports. He also enjoyed reading, photography, cooking and good conversations. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Froedtert Hospital and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice where he received exemplary care and kindness. A memorial visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis, on Friday, February 23 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM. The family is grateful for all condolences and recommends donations to Project Concern of Cudahy-St. Francis in lieu of flowers.
