Dorothy Gawronski

Gawronski, Dorothy Age 86. Passed away on September 29, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Rehab Center in Milwaukee. She was born in Milwaukee on December 7, 1923 to Stephania(nee Michniewicz) and Walter Shepard. A proud graduate of the County General nursing program, Dorothy had a long career as a registered nurse. She married George Gawronski in 1970, who preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by a sister, Lillian Peronto, of Milwaukee; niece Judith(Ted)Buenzli, of Madison; nephew Jeffrey(Lisa)Peronto, of Sun Prairie, as well as grandnieces/nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 5 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7616 Fritz St., Wind Lake. Visitation will be held from 9-10:45am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorothy's name should be made to the Milwaukee County Zoo or preferred wildlife charity.
